Probably doesn't work because document.getElementById doesn't work with a CSS #id selector as a parameter, it needs the bare id , so it isn't finding the increment or output elements.

Nice to see a parent selector in the form of :has. Some people seem to believe such a selector has always existed — at least I see some mentions of it on StackOverflow sometimes. Now it looks like finally we will finally be able to do thing

This is indeed true for V8 IIRC, but even if it weren't, both arguments.length and arguments[ x ] are safe to use without stopping optimisation, so even a very cautious JavaScript dev can effectively clone the arguments object in a rou

Of course it works well for many buyers. In my mind, it was still £300 more than I paid for my 5s and I had no further demands of the iPhone 5 besides a longer passcode.

I have the same to say even for the iPhone 5, which I'd been using for several years and was recently a delight to use with iOS10. I actually just bought myself an iPhone 5s to replace it because the iPhone 5's battery life finall

I was always more interested in the philosophy of mathematics than prime numbers. Actually, I'm interested in philosophy in general, especially early Wittgenstein & Gödel. So I'm biased.

Yes, I know a preprocessor is involved, much like many single-element/background-image hacks and CSS-only glitch effects which translate to fifty-keyframe animations. It's still cooler than the OP.

I'm guessing the parent means using top , left , bottom and right offsets instead of transforms to support the likes of IE8. The point of FLIP, RAIL and using transforms is to reliably achieve 60FPS by avoiding repaints whenever

Well, if you want to conditionally add polyfills it's useful to use the method I showed. Plus, in my case, there's the misery of having to accommodate IE6 for the requirements of a couple of clients.

I just meant to indicate that if nothing depends on the script, you can also set the async attribute to prevent even the slightest bit of blocking. Not really necessary if you append the script to the body, but it's good to do it if yo

eval is not necessarily evil in this case indeed. However, it'll force you to make concessions in your Content Security Policy and probably not very good for caching.
