>Tor sites do all of this still. I like browing onion sites from time to time, typically personal sites. It is resemblant of the wild west days of the web, except most onion sites are for drugs.

How is this better than ActivityPub? Mastodon already is a decentralized Twitter

It could tie into how neoliberal establishements are failing and people are looking for alternatives (which could be the reason that nazism is suddenly more popular). But yeah, I was pretty suprised seeing this post.

Not liking Israel isn't anti semetic. Its anti zionist. There are many jewish people who don't like israel either.

Honestly I think some big issues are that not everyone has a fast machine thats going to be up all the time to host the instance. It would be cool to implement something like BitTorrent but for websites.

I'd make it a microkernel, not monolithic. This would solve the problem of the Linux kernel being bloated, thus making it easier to maintain.

I think the only good reasons to use VPNs are for torrenting and accessing movies only available in other countries. For any privacy reasons its best to use Tor.

There is also toki pona which was made more recently. I think one of the differences between it and esperanto is that Toki Pona takes a lot less time to learn (it took me a few months).

Burn everything important onto some old CDs or DVDs, that should be good enough. Filecoin seems cool too, but you have to pay in filecoin.

Or content based addressing, so that there isn't any network traffic to censor in the first place.

Suprised no one mentioned SHA256. I know there's not a official SHA256 implementation but i guess any implementation (except OpenSSL ) is good. Left out OpenSSL because of poor docs and a small amount of developers. Last I had seen it

Lots of people who want to protect their security do. I usually do unless a site won't work without it, the site is open source and I really want to see it.
