Well good luck to y'all. I like the idea, and agree with the analogy. I guess it would just be an important point to make clear to the student they won't be a Rails ninja by the end of the course. I'm currently at livngsocial doing front-en

Do you honestly believe that you can teach a person with no programming knowledge Ruby/Rails in 8 weeks? Having strong HTML/CSS skills and basic JS/Ruby/Rails, I don't see this as a realistic goal, and could leave some people disappointed f

It's so amusing to watch someone report on a topic they have no clue about. "It teaches you... how do you get this shape to form??"

Ryan, I noticed from past posts of yours that you are probably a very family oriented guy. Just wanted to get your perspective on moving you and your family half way across the globe. I myself am considering moving a good distance from my f

Very nice, despite the ridiculousness of the idea, it could potentially work. The landing page needs some work though for sure. Is there an email I could reach one of you guys at?

Haha I love the commentary in the JS source: "Hi there You are here for one of two possible reasons: 1. You are creating a card game yourself and want to look at the source to see how it's done. 2. You're trying to figure out how you ca

Obviously I don't know all the details but you've got two disparate but important things to take into consideration here: (1) A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. To have the job now even though it's not exactly what you want is imp

Go to Google, build your resume and get more experience under your belt. Save up. Then chase your dreams via your own startup or another that you're passionate about and have a little cushion. If things go awry, rinse and repeat.

No one is saying nor implying that computer programmers possess a superior moral compass to make judgements on the rule-based systems as you have stated. The laws are fucked up because of pervasive unethical political practices in the U.S.
