hahaha that is a whole new can of worms... In my experience, mentors matter more than the course title. I've had the privilege of being taught by some of the best teachers and witnessed some of the worst. When your instructor deals wit

So you are bored and your job has lost its luster. For that do something completely different and do it just for fun. If you work as X and even if you are good at X you will eventually get bored of X. Imagine if you had ice-cream or chocola

Your argument doesn't hold because transparency will mean there will eventually be a state of equilibrium after you take many employees and after many employees are taken away from you. Talent snatching cannot go on forever. After that

But I don't think this is a workable task in a political system. The views of the guy you voted for are going to be different from the one you didn't vote for. In a perfect system every person will be impartial in evaluating elect

You nailed it. What also changes is people in authoritarian posts. The system has to be resilient to the occasional wrong guy being chosen for a powerful post. Also it doesn't make sense to fight individuals since it gives a fake sense

I don't see this as a major problem since my nearly 4 year old computer is still working fine for most of my computing needs. Computer chips are so powerful now that they don't use a lot more than older computers didn't use.

Although your point about earth isn't completely true (night lights are very visible from space and we don't have photos from before space missions), the thing that concerns me is whether mining Helium 3 from the moon will affect

You mean there is no ecology or atmosphere on the moon. The environment is whatever there is around. On the moon it will be a terrain of grey and white matter that reflects a lot of light when there is a full moon to the point that you can

So is it time to start taking photos of the moon before the image seen from earth completely changes. Every time I read about the moon and mars I think about how humans are going to change the environment after living there for a while. The

This was my opinion too. I'm shocked that they didn't take it into consideration. Ironically the plaintiff tried to discredit Diffie by mentioning that the GCHQ "invented" the encryption even before Diffie did (this was

The funny thing is that the lawyer tries to discredit Diffie by trying to present prior art. He was trying to shift focus away from the case and into attacking the witness by presenting prior art to the prior art. Kind of a moot move.

Patents were not allowed to exist for the good of humankind. They were supposed to be ways to expose smart ideas and then we may use them all much later. More importantly if patents were to help mankind, they should be public domain.

You're not proving cause and effect here. IQ and earning power are correlated but the relation has been proven to run both ways. Low IQ may or may not lead to low income but low income has been shown to lead to low IQ scoring.
