Sounds interesting. Please drop me a line to talk about the filter concept further. My email is on my profile. I'm also interested in exploring the idea of porting this type of applications to Facebook, and therefore I'm arranging a weekend

Interesting. I reached the same conclusion. I start by inviting trusted friends and friends of friends to sign up to the community before it's open to the public, and use their voting data as a base to measure against. And, of course, conti

Or maybe you can aggregate the short-lists and generate a report in a few weeks that showcases the most tracked users.

I'm a coffee shop programmer as well. Not always, but whenever I want to avoid the potential distractions in my apartment (tv, xbox, bed) I take my laptop and work from a coffee shop for the day. It's also a nice change of scenery. The fre

This is the San Francisco startup weekend. We're in there right now, locked up in a big room, and hacking away our Community Response Web application. It's intense. We'll be releasing today.

The way things are headed, we'll soon be running most of our applications in the browser. Someone needs to come up with a multi-threaded JavaScript. Yes, I know, it's not going to be pretty.

I agree with Don. Facebook was growing fast and gaining market share before they released their platform, not because of it.

Great idea. And, unlike most Facebook Apps, it has potential for continued use after the first time. Best of luck.

Could you elaborate on what it was in coRank that you didn't like? I'm building a competing service and would be interested to know what features users need.

This has been requested many times, and users are begging for it. PG, is there a reason why it's not implemented? If the implementation is hard, then maybe you can use Google or bigheadlabs's solution!
