TLDs,a solution to a problem nobody has. It's just a programmers solution to a programmers problem. The only reason .com even matters is because it got ingrained in people's minds early on. You could drop all TLDs tomorrow and nob

No because you're using the reverse of my example to make my example look silly but infact you just prove my point. May as well claim it's silly to not try to prove negatives.

Yea, we should ditch go altogether, who needs it when we have C. Better ditch all those bash aliases, git aliases, and toss zsh while we're at it. You know what, bash should go to because you know, sh is everywhere.

Yes, thats their point, its the thing that loads all the fucking ads. Please don't suggest it loads other meaningful things. May as well claim torrenting is used for downloading Linux isos so its not a piracy problem.

Youre really missing the point here. This zip file is an executable webserver, you just add files to it and it will serve them when you run it. If you can't understand what is cool about that maybe just don't speak.

It was on topic, your mistake was to write a comment that comes off snarky and political of you fail to read it with positive intent.

What's difficult about this? The law prevents people from doing the wrong thing every day using the threat of jail time or worse. Claiming laws only punish actions taken so they can't be "preventitive" by preventing othe

If it's stored as code it's going to be trivial to dump it to Json in the rear situations you need an application config to be read across languages.

I'm very hopefully for this company. I just hope they drop the passive aggressive "block" remarks. Maybe its me but I suspect they're referring to decade old ThinkPad that have since evolved a lot to thin performance bea

This is such a trope. Do you pull your funds from interactive brokers after you're done trading? What about vanguard? 401k?

Traders are wrong more often than they're right. Most money is earned by managing risk. Your winners win big, your losers don't break the bank. Taking anyone's conclusions seriously is pretty silly, they're all just data

Yup found this remark super weird. Mac users seem to live under a rock or something. Got some weird idea that anything not a Mac must be windows like it's the 90s or something. Both AMD and Intel hardware supports Linux and wouldn'

I love that in this thread we have one fanboi defending apple about this by saying that bugs happen and that they're often found in the least tested software parts (fucking reinstall? Not tested?) And then we also have someone complain

AP was clearly making the link between apples "on the fly" transition and software rewrites by newcomers to a system that will often make the same mistakes that the old system had already figured out solutions to. Nobody claimed a

I'm so over this shit. Both the Aus govt and Google are being total idiots about this. Facebook is the only one that seems to get it. Almost makes me want to go recover my Facebook account. shrug

I find the idea that the best paid people in the industry are entitled to be a bit rich. Clearly there is unmet demand for quality engineers or you wouldn't be paying that much and allowing perks to dictate the balance of life equation
