   Having a realistic sense of self is great; diminishing your self into a nothingness (i.e. totally altruistic) is not something to be admired. Then again, maybe I've read too much Ayn Rand.

   Or just install Cygwin or Copssh and do `ssh -D 8080 user@remote`. Better yet, ditch Windows

   If you want to make it even more readable, use CoffeeScript instead of JavaScript where possible

   I do, because it is instantly verifiable to prospective employers who want to see things I've worked on. I don't think there is anything wrong with using a pseudonym in this case, but doing so would make it at least one step more difficult
