I work for a very large company that relies on a fork (with contributions back upstream) of SQLite for a majority of its massive enterprise SOA. It is not just unpaid volunteers keeping that project going.

But these apps shouldn't be running/accessing those devices when your phone is locked. If the apps can manage to get around that permissioning issue then they can control a lot of things directly, most likely, and don't need

One of my biggest questions/objections is about the battery life issue. They claim that this will run out juice every 2 years or so and that the battery cannot be replaced, so I'll just need to buy a new one. $100 every two year

Yeah, pretty easy to just store all cards in the app and switch out the infrequently used cards for things like loyalty programs when you actually need them.

It seems to me that if an attacker can get access to your microphone and camera, you have way bigger problems and they don't need your PIN at all.

That is still different than voting for a party. In proportional representation you would cast your ballot for e.g. The Democratic Party. If they got 54% of the vote, they would get to then appoint 54% of the representation for that distric

Except that merchant can't switch to the plan if they process that much, since it is limited to merchants under $250,000/year.

I upgraded last night and it promptly crashed my site and made it so nothing would load. Be careful of any plugins using legacy features, as this newest version gets rid of many of them. Based on error messages in the log files, I removed
