I am still running TB 91.13.1 as there are too many issues with 102 (not just performance). I get annoyed every day by TB prompting me to upgrade (config switches did not help to suppress that). And now this?! Guess this really is the time

Like others have already mentioned, _usually_ programs written in Rust are far more stable than their respective C/C++ implementation. One impressive data point (for me) is this: https://youtu.be/GtRo-eF8-TE?t=671

Quite some time ago a colleague and myself put together a seminar paper on binary exploitation techniques and their mitigations. Maybe it's helpful to you: https://github.com/W4RH4WK/ETnM/blob/master/

You could give Linux Mint a try for desktop. With the regular edition you should get pretty much what Ubuntu offers, with fewer "anti-features". There is also a Debian-based Linux Mint (LMDE) which might be preferred to regular De

We've used Misumi for a small-scale project and the quality / price ratio was quite good. Would order again from them.

Loaded question, but as a Windows user I'd really like to know. Given that you can buy an acceptable Mac for, say, $5000, does that $52,000 Mac Pro give you any real advantage in terms of productivity. Are you even twice as productive?

From my experience, commit messages are not actively read by someone, but searched for. Instead of writing a summary of my commit into the commit message subject, I try to use related keywords, tags, and references. Usually it starts with a

Despite not knowing anything about your code base, I recommend giving pre-compiled headers a try. I am currently working on a game + custom engine that is around 1M lines of C++ code. Thanks to pre-compiled headers and forward declarations,

Well then, people should demand the specs for the save file format so somebody can easily build a save game editor. This way people at least have the option to restore their state from memory.

What I don't like about state machines in code is that transitions become less obvious the bigger the state machine gets. Having each state as a function, with a descriptive name is nice, but you really have to dig through the whole co
