Thanks for the feedback. Usually can't find the price/spec/performance balance we want. Light bulbs was just an example -- we wanted BR30 lights (and lots of them) with 3000K color. Everything at HD/Lowes was either 2700

Just out of curiosity, what was it about Zoom that never worked well for you? I work with oodles of academics, and that was the singular reason they flocked to Zoom - out of box ease of setup / ease of use that trumped WebEx and GoTo M

Two other things I should add: I use noise-canceling headphones (inexpensive from Taotronics) and the DFX plugin [1] for audio clarity. The plugin has a Dialog Boost setting intended for transcription. It goes a long way to improve muddy au

1.5x or faster speedups, turn on CC for the unintelligible speech. I really appreciate it when there's a transcript available in addition to the captioning. Taking notes / creating Anki cards helps with focus.

Agreed - I've found that Anki really helps to recall underlying facts, but if I didn't grasp a concept well outside of Anki, it's not helping with A-HA moments.
