Can we all agree that if we’re gonna claim that real socialism(tm) has never been tried that real capitalism has similarly never been tried. The current system is very much a hybrid socialist/capitalist approach and attempting to att

Thank you for taking the time to explain what you meant. I appreciate it and don’t want to discount the time and effort you put into it. That being said, I vehemently disagree: > First Pepsi Vs Coke. Both Pepsi and Coke make a product t

My understanding is it’s an attempt at spam reduction. By not providing an API for commenting they make it harder for spammers.

Yup that’s why every private school that had honest staff and wasn’t bound by the National Teachers Union who were playing political games was in person most of last year. Kids come first. Until this summer the chance of them getting sick

A previous company I worked for had a team who’s whole job was keeping the kb up to date. If you wrote an article/page they would schedule a recurring 6 month meeting with you to go over it and confirm it was still accurate and relevan

In this case at least the article implies this not to be true, one of the interviewed ceos said he used to generate 80% of his revenue from Facebook ad buys and now it’s only 20%. This would imply he’s getting his ads in front of real peopl

WhatsApp is still a negative investment atm. I’m sure Instagram is printing money like Facebook but it relies on the same mechanisms, and thus will fall with Facebook.

Btw, I recently (as in 2 months ago, before the epic ruling) downloaded one of those apps (bec I was given a $40 incentive to spend $10 in app) and they used PayPal not apple to sell their in app coins. I thought that was interesting, that

I think the real story here is that the browser has really become the OS. But whereas before we left all decisions up to the users about what they could install and trust, and they trusted the dev to not do anything nefarious, the browser m

Additionally epic wants to stop paying apple, so essentially it’s 0 lost revenue either way.
