I’m sure there was a built in wait timer and it wasn’t because it was actually loading anything. Some manager needed to justify paying for the splash screen so created a ticket to make sure it always got shown

Didn’t think it was a real business. But regardless isn’t that also just the services they use internally just externalized for general consumption. So still in many ways supporting the ad business.

Hmmm… my impression was that Google is an ad company, wasn’t aware they did anything but collect data for ads and deliver ads, I’m curious to hear what you work on that isn’t “ads”

I’m curious to know what a gsheet/doc/slide file actually is under the hood. I as the user am only ever presented with a link, there’s no way to download a gsheet in its native format.

And of course the politicians responsible for this horrendous policy will not be held responsible, they will be given a free pass by the media who will point to some boogeyman and then blame climate change.

Any politician who attempted something like that would immediately find themselves on the wrong side of the table with various three letter agencies. You’re incredibly naive if you think Israel or really anyone else is responsible for this.

You seem to think the NSO is some rogue org within Israel. Couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s simply a plausible deniability org that works for everyone, and counts every single US intelligence agency among its clients. The fact that

Yea this appears to be the easiest way to do it, turn off autopay, let your account go into default for a day or two, they’ll use the credit, then if your bill is higher than $50, just pay it off and turn autopay back on.
