Yes and no. Yes billionaires are not people to be trusted but also they are a structural problem, a CEO that does not squeeze last the last penny out of users for shareholder value is just not doing their job. Billionaires are a-holes becau

Lots of people are sceptical but I cannot imagine a use for entry level positions anymore. At my work everybody got to calling AI "the intern", which is not confusing because we do not have and have no use for interns.

A cool technology that builds on ZK is zkTLS that can prove that you have access to some data on the internet, for example that you have an account with some service without revealing your username. So more private oauth I suppose?

I'm over the industry cause it over-promised an under-delivered and the way it "changed" the world is largely through monopolies, extractive middlemen and manipulation.

Sure, taxes, AI, etc. matter. But my intuition is that the narrative that has driven the software industry "we are changing the world" has run out of steam and it would have without all those other things. The wild Silicon Valley

When Musk tweets on technical topics one can tell that either he's just trying to fool people or is completely clueless himself.

Thanks for the thorough write-up. I am also conflicted that somebody has so much power in the market but at least they are not AWS/GCP.

I am somehow out of the loop about why Cloudflare is as big as it is? There are many other CDNs, why them?

I suppose my observation is that I have never seen anybody actually have enough of notes for long enough of time (cannot imagine needing any of mine in a few years) for this to be a problem. Those people likely exist but I have not met them

I do not understand how people have enough things to put down for posterity where they need linking between different documents, rather than a simple hierarchy. I suppose we are very different humans.

Oh, just manual template typing. That's not great. We've done that and it is error-prone. A SQL-generator infers the types from the query, for example.

I am in a startup that's using Prisma and it we really wish we had not: - The query objects can become hard to read with anything more or less complex. - If you need an unsupported Postgres extension you are out of luck. - One large fi

I have not looked at different offerings for block storage but object storage has been very cheap. Say the Wasabi account gives me a terrabyte for $7/m with egress included. I am not sure whether it is possible to setup the self-hostin

Sure. I might upgrade but at the moment: - Domain name - $3/year - Cloudron free tier with two apps - free - Wasabi for backups (Cloudron supports every cloud storage possible and Wasabi is not the cheapest, I just wanted to try it) -

One of the main problems with raising too much is that you stop caring about product-market fit and can go on tangents that do not make you competitive. This is quiet common afaik.
