Yeah only reasonable UX options. Saw somebody praise the wonders of seed phrase wallets on Twitter and could not believe my eyes.

What if one of the big banks ran AMM for stock trading?

So if Goldman Sachs ran an AMM for stock trading then that would make it all legitimate?

I have not yet seen a governance token, such as ones issued by DAOs, get under fire. From what I inferred over the past few years only very specific tokens are considered unregistered securities so I stopped worrying.

Did you read my comment? AMM's were impossible without blockchain. And they are more efficient than real-world counterparts.

That's a valid statement. It creates a hyper-monetization of sorts. I struggle with it too, although less. I think there are other way to think about it. And feel free to accuse me of mental gymnastics. But I sort of came to blockchain

Arguments about blockchain here on HN are frustrating. There are plenty of good examples of where it works very well but the mental gymnastic people go through to deny the obvious are incredible. The most basic to me is the Automatic Market

Lots of people asking about DAOs. So here are a couple of resources you can look up. To look at a large list of different DAOs with info about what tech stack they run, how big the treasuries are, etc., look here: https://deepdao

Well that's the point actually. It is a lot like shareholder/board of directors voting. Except that the DAO requires virtually no bureaucracy to get up and running. So if, say, you and your local community wanted to start an organ

You will only see a dystopian nightmare when that's what you are looking to see. * A DAO is a lot of people who are looking to create common good via small donations and common participation. This was the goal and ideology of Ethereum

My hero. If I was not on Linux I feel like I'd be on the same boat. On Linux I use mocp which is a console-based directory-based player, so pretty much the same thing.

I started going to psychoanalysis and the analyst asked me: so why do you work in programming? I had to contemplate that for a long while. Answers that I came with were not at all what I thought. I had to really go back in memory to early d

The comments here are terribly negative. I'll just paste a post I wrote from /r/ethfinance to explain why I think people who think that blockchain are a fad or just a money grab are wrong. I think blockchain to me personally

I do not think the so. The URL did not make the era, the communities did. If a community is strong enough they'll just move. So everything is still on. It's like if software forks an renames it's still the same thing.
