There's been a bit of a resurgence with the lower solar cycle, for mobile radios such as the KX3/2 and FT-817 which top out at 15W, having a mode that concentrates most of its power in ~500Hz of bandwidth(vs ~3kHz for voice) is a

Rather than casting scorn why not step up to the plate and do what the author has done here but for the architectures that you know? I spend a fair bit of time in the Arm space and didn't find the article incorrect, just PC focused. I

Yeah, that also depends on how modern your diesel is. The Kubota is much, much better on the particulate scale vs out old Ford thanks to a substantial DPF filter. Newer diesels, when not modified are much better than they used to be.

As an EV owner who also owns a 7klb Kubota CUT diesel is still ideal here for a few reasons. First it's easy to handle and transport, hydrogen has no shortage of issues there. It has a heck of a shelf life, my understanding is hydrogen

Hah, that truly is the exception. It's been a few years but if I recall correctly we did have a "smoke test" running on a jenkins box under someone's desk that booted a few levels with most of the game entities(they were

I think you're giving a bit too much credit to game logic codebases. They generally move at a pretty fast pace and change often(due to the iterative nature of what's "fun"). I don't think I saw a single unit test un

That's not speech then. If you're talking about compression, Q-codes[1] were invented long before most of us were born. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_code

I think that depends a lot on the area and local clubs, some are better than others. While this looks interesting I'm curious if they've done the numbers for Lora throughput. It's very, very low(which is also what makes it ab

This is a basic property of any 3-phase AC VFD motor, it's hard to see what's special here compared to a traditional electric drivetrain.

Congrats, Porsche has discovered the 3-phase AC VFD. The same technology that has been used for decades in diesel electric locomotives. It's well known that it has fantastic anti-slip properties. I'll have to dig up the source but

Depends on the truck, our Ram EcoDiesel gets better mileage(30mpg) than any of our Subarus ever did. That said you see a lot of 3/4 ton daily drivers that only see a tow hitch one or two weekends out of the year.
