I have literally never heard this word before the infamous Google post, since then it's everywhere.

Ah, you are probably right. I was thinking of the incident a few weeks back where the fire suppression took out multiple AZs, but that was actually GCP.

AZs also don't help with natural disasters at all. I believe AWS is the only one doing geographically distributed AZs, for the others it just means different connections and placed somewhere else in the building. edit: turns out AWS is

That’s one of the most pointless subreddits out there. They need to nuke the default ones to have any meaningful effect.

Violent video games have always been the boogeyman, but there never was any real evidence of its effect on children. These days there's constant news of widespread mental health issues in teenagers; I think the current iteration of soc

C# in Visual Studio is probably closest to this. You get a visual editor + the .NET library is quite huge. Alternatively Lazarus (or Delphi, but I don't know what the licensing situations is right now).

This absolutely boggles my mind. I had to do some javascript recently, and every time I had what I thought was a very basic question the most upvoted answer was "just npm install this library, and use this one-liner". I honestly n

Not sure why you got downvoted but hard agree. I haven't used a physical card in years, everywhere I go accepts contactless, and with FaceID it's either same speed or quicker than having to get your card out of the wallet.
