Using username/PAT works with https:// , not git://. An easier route might be GCM Core ( https://github.com/microsoft/Git-Credential-Manager-Core ). And of course, disclosure, I'm the produ

Don't know if you'll see this now that it's been a few hours, but for anyone trying to work with multiple distinct GitHub identities: GCM Core will read the user part of a URL and use it if provided. There's an "amb

We recently added support for multiple identities but it's not complete (or seemingly documented, oops). I'll take a note to look into fixing and extending it. Edit: but also, GCM Core has nothing to do with the user.email/us

Disclosure: I'm the Git Systems PM at GitHub. Opinions are my own and I wasn't directly involved with this effort. GCM Core is a really straightforward way to auth with GitHub and several other Git hosts. It comes with Git for Win

I'm pretty happy with a refurbished Steelcase Amia from https://www.crandalloffice.com/ . I want to say it was around $400 and came in a variety of custom fabrics and designs.

Git also has a file system monitor interface which can use Watchman. We (GitHub) are working on a native file system monitor implementation in addition - https://github.com/gitgitgadget/git/pull/900 .

Hey, I'm the product manager for Git Systems at GitHub. Can you share more about how you'd use VFS for Git / GVFS protocol if we had it on GitHub? Right now we don't plan on supporting it; most of our work is focused on

Up front disclosures: I'm the parent of a (prenatally-diagnosed) child with Down syndrome, and I'm pro-choice as a matter of public health and self-sovereignty. It's been really nice to see the civil discourse in this thread,

Small nitpick: Kindergarteners are expected to count to 100. At least, that's the case in my county (Wake) in a state not known for K-12 excellence (North Carolina).

My 6 year old and I play Minecraft. (Mostly on Creative because that's what she prefers, but we've done a bit of co-op Survival too.)

GitHub: no expectation of an immediate reply even during your local "business hours". I'm new here and really appreciating the aggressively asynchronous culture.

This matches my experience. In addition to taking the course as an undergrad, I was the graduate TA for three semesters. While it wasn't super deep on any one topic, the course was far from easy and required to graduate.

I'm sorry that the product wasn't easier to use, and that it wasted so much of your time. For anyone else running into this, we do have docs up about how to access authenticated submodules: https://docs.microsoft.com&#x
