I wouldn't say "nothing" and it's less clear-cut when you lease, but if you have a Model S/X and want to buy Model 3 presumably as the 2nd car, yeah, pretty much.

That's… unique - and wrong - spelling of the name. (Pet peeve of mine, people spell my app's name in all sorts of bizarre ways too.)

FWIW, in 2014, Microsoft bought HockeyApp. It's still actively developed and new features are being added. I expected it to die soon then, but apparently not all acquisitions, by MS in particular, end badly.

Owning a US company is exactly the kind of "relation to US" (the phrasing banks use here, not "US person") that will trigger the consequences described by other commenters.

They actually started policing this and refuse to renew a certificate if they decide it's a commercial use. Happened to me and rather than argue with them (it wasn't), I bought a $5 one at ssls.com...

Your rant is the very definition of bigotry. People tend to be more nuanced than your B/W view of them.

Messing around in /? Pretty certain it is licensing, putting information in obscure places most users won't look for them.

I too have to disagree. Cmake is crap compared to Autotools. It's makefiles don't work if the end user who does the compilation doesn't have cmake installed. Autotools doesn't have any runtime dependencies - that'

I doubt it was legally mandated, but it certainly isn't now: Model S brakes itself and IMHO it's much safer.

And, crucially, disengaging - with a beep if you have hands on wheel and a panicky "crash imminent, we're all going to die, do something!" series of beeps if you don't. Being aware of the car's mode is not an issue.

No, not really. Military planes were shot down, yes, but those operated at much lower altitudes. It's damn hard to shoot down an aircraft flying at 10k feet, you need something like BUK to even be able to reach that high. That'
