Nice. My handwriting is said to be beautiful, and friends crane their necks when I'm writing to see. However, it's too small for people to read, and somewhat old-fashioned cursive which makes it hard to read again. This is good fo

I've searched for squillions of domains with Namecheap and moved to them years ago from 123, but never lost a domain to them, I don't believe this happens.

100% this. Not only will I not miss it, I'm glad it's going, I found the reviews to be extended advertising for camera manufacturers and retailers, and the forums were packed with know-nothings arguing over cameras they'd nev

CD sales have collapsed - although I load up on them at £1/€1 a pop at the second hand and charity shops. A bargain. Vinyl is CRAZY expensive, the days of cheap records is long gone and I'm not sure how much longer the people who

Cibachromes? Really? I haven't been able to get Cibachrome/Ilforchrome for years, I thought the chemistry was long long gone. Sheesh my Cibas from the early 1990s are still stunning prints. Wish I'd made more.

I had a Fuji 680III and it was stupidly big, AND made from plastic everywhere, so it just didn't work as a camera to cart around, although I'm sure more gentle humans than I could make it happen. Was a bargain, though, came with t

Nah, the sensor is gobsmackingly-good, even DXO think so: https://www.dxomark.com/pentax-645z-sensor-review/ I have a Q2 and the Pentax compares favourably, even if not all the lenses are as modern. The 645Z is a crazy

Absolutely, it's a brilliant hobby, but it takes a huge amount of time and space. And money now, because darkroom hardware and materials are super expensive. If I was learning now like I did when I was 18, I'd never be able to aff

Well, I've got all the kit already, still have all my darkroom kit but it's not worth setting up for such short runs. I have my film scanner still which has been busy scanning my archives but time is in short supply these days...

I can tell you that the hassle these days is more trouble than it's worth for film, because all the convenience has vanished AND it costs a fortune. I'd buy ten rolls of Fuji 35mm slide film, came with pre-paid envelopes, so I jus

Lovely format and lovely camera. The Bronica ETRSi is my personal preference but I do have a Pentax 645Z and it's absolutely fabulous, a ridiculous bargain. Even if it's not 6 x 4.5. Ah, memories.

I've been trying to get into Elixir and I figured Phoenix was the way to do it, but I have to agree about the resources for Phoenix, learning it has been a nuisance, and sucked all the fun out that I might have been unfairly expecting.

By way of comparison, 5 days of all-day, all-zone tickets in Hamburg currently costs €91, so this is a YUGE saving. I still don't want to travel by train in Germany, because the service right now, quite bluntly, is shit. Delays, overcr

Some people just do not give a single, solitary fuck about how their behaviour affects others. I don't think jail is the answer, some mental health support might be.
