Why do you think it's not a good practice? Docker is a good tool and deserves some resources to continue developing the product and funding marketing team. I wish docker hub to be more competitive among other rivals.

Don't get why you got downvoted. Kubernetes is the right tool for some type of issues. If you want to host low complexity infrastructure like a simple website but still want to use containers go with nomad / docker swarm.

If everybody knows kubernetes what is the point to learn it? You can't stand out with this skill if you wouldn't do it professionally. Just to get familiar is enough. I would go with bash, sed, awk.

What did you expect from the advertisement company? I'm pretty sure ad providers liked the changes because they are getting more traffic to their websites. So, the actual clients are happy why so much dislike towards a new change. The

I was a strong supporter of VSCode for a long period of time. Now I realise there is always an alternative. After taking time to learn my tools I can't use vscode anymore because of how inefficient and restrictive it is now for my work

That is exactley why centralized solutions are winning the market over decentralized ones. No one wants to deal with evil actors within decentralized system. Users are even ready to give up open protocol for proprietary one (imessage, etc).

What I found for myself as a rule of thumb is if high aws bills can surprise me or if I don't have a paid support contract then most likely AWS type of services are not for my size. Actually, I'll sleep better on fixed-price cloud

Right now email is like kubernetes, you can do it yourself but most likely better buy it from service providers like gsuite etc. I think sosciety in general will benefit with all in one simple to host package written in high level language.
