I pulled a fuse out of my car to disable the onstar module because they were sending me "monthly diagnostic report" emails. I had never made an onstar account, and I even declined the free trial. If they hadn't sent me those

I just recently re-read David Foster Wallace's E Unibus Pluram (1993), so this is fresh on my mind: > Audience gets trained to respond to and then like and then expect trite, hackneyed, numbing television shows, and to expect them t

I bind ctrl+space to make the current window stay on top of others. Sometimes it is a commandline or file explorer or notepad that I want to keep visible while I click something else behind it, without rearranging the windows side-by-side.

One of my favorite youtube channels at the moment is Not Just Bikes. And, it's right in the name: it's not just about bikes. It's about trains, busses, pedestrianization, mixed-use zoning, more options for housing density bes

US suburban sprawl, enormous parking lots, and generally inefficient land use is what puts everything 10 to 15 to 25 miles away from home. It didn't have to be like this. Check out Not Just Bikes on youtube: https://www.yout

I don't think I could trust anyone who can afford to buy a domain name like you.com. They're either so rich they've got money to burn on dotcom-era domain names, or they're misallocating what money they have... it doesn&

Yes, this issue with multi-item listings is so prominent and long-standing that I simply must assume it is a deliberate anti-user decision by ebay, though I can't think of a good reason why. I just know that if they wanted to fix it th

Sure, it must be possible. You just need to give the right voltage to the +/- pins, and most phone batteries have at least one or two additional pins which you'll have to reverse engineer. Usually a thermistor for temperature repo

If you're using youtube-dl, you can tell it to download only the audio track in the first place. Try `youtube-dl -F video_id` to learn what formats are available, then `youtube-dl -f format_number video_id`.
