Is it true that Unix time is as simple as it seems? Is there exactly one second between adjacent integers? Do all Unix time values occur only once simultaneously around the world?

Absolutely, don't use a company as large as Google for your data services. An individual customer is not a significant income source, so they care less about their customers. But there are several services out there offering paid data

Google Finance was a free site if I remember. If a consumer expects a level of service without offering a payment, any pains the consumer has are entirely their fault. If it was a paid service however, the consumer should control (via a con

Really cool! Do you offer collection archives for download, for distributed archival purposes? It seems like this archive ( https://www.reddit.com/r/WeAreTheMusicMakers/comments/3ajwe4... ) has more.

Very similar. Kitty has scrollback. Alacritty handles double/triple-click and drag correctly, although I think kitty may have fixed thia recently, making it king.

The feature of this product is more similar to turning the phone off, since it requires some time to open, just like turning the phone on.

For Ubuntu, you're probably right. For a year-old immature project like mine, it's definitely better to work on steering the cruise ship itself rather than work on tiny problems on it. Every project has its own rules, so make judg

Probably an unpopular opinion, but when a project is starving financially, responding to bug reports should be the first thing to go. Hugely popular features and large subprojects that change the direction of the project are more important

It's an every-field-centric viewpoint. Every field that creates something is more efficient with a keyboard. You even just supported this point yourself.

A bluetooth keyboard is a keyboard, I'm not saying it isn't.

I agree with the mentality that touch = consume and type = produce. The efficiency and imtimacy of user interaction of keyboards is simply unmatched with other competing input devices. Open-ness of platforms is secondary.

I believe the best you could do is extract the raw OCR'd text from the document (with some other tool). No formatting or text hierarchy is preserved in the OCR process, only the physical locations and size of the text on the page. From

There are two correct answers: Use std::filesystem on C++17, or rename() on POSIX and MoveFileExW() on Windows (which are what boost::filesystem calls internally). These answers are correct because they answer the question literally, and so

We're talking about open-source software. And in most cases, open-source software is delivered and installed by source, and there's no such thing as an ABI issue in this case. Only API issues remain.

This discussion is about shallow DoF. You cannot have shallow DoF with a lens with a small aperture diameter. Both the aperture diameter and sensor must be large.
657.
▲
by
vortico
8y ago
In that case the aperture diameter will decrease. f-number does not directly affect depth of field, except through the aperture diameter.
658.
▲
by

With everything else constant (f-number, sensor size, magnification, etc), increasing the aperture diameter will increase the circle of confusion and therefore decrease the depth of field.

Agreed that would be the largest factor, besides DoF. Although, I've been surprised by iPhone 8 or greater noise levels. In the article's video, you wouldn't notice the noise at that resolution if taken with a modern iPhone.
