We are no longer a hunter-gatherer or agrarian society -- people of olden times would fare as well in our society as we would in theirs. Maybe they could be more self-sufficient, but modern society is free from tending to our fields or biso

Stem cell transplantation is probably not the most effective way to end HIV due to its severe risks and cost: it's much more likely preventative measures like PrEP/PEP and treatments like HAART are much more viable long-term solut

As the average consumer, I would much rather see how much money I need to take out of my pocket on the sticker price rather than deeply considering what the tax burden of my jug of milk is.

I'm sure a lot of the technologies on the list (like Yjs!) are well-designed and reliable, but I would not touch GUN with a ten foot pole. The code is absolutely inscrutable (what does any of this do? https://github.com&#x

Dennis is allowed to stop working on something he's not being paid for. If anyone doesn't think this is the case, they should take a long hard look at their supply chain security posture.

Of course. I don't doubt the scale of the disaster but it's very easy in the face of uncertainty for anyone to jump to conclusions without doing their due diligence, either due to some agenda or just inadvertently.
