Doesn't NVIDIA ship the CPU for the Nintendo Switch? Not as low power as mobile phones, but not completely far away either.

You claim that it is in the interest of an ARM CPU vendor that wants to buy ARM to cut ARM's R&D and sell it for parts after buying it. What's the rationale of this claim? (you don't say) I'd expected that ARM CPU ve

To add, it is trivial to guarantee that Rust code is "zero-copy", so if this is something you care about, Rust allows your program to fail to compile if it tries to make a copy.

The problems are that: - most such interfaces do have a constant overhead that all programmers using the language have to pay. - some major operating systems (like Linux, ehem) make these interfaces useless for all their user space apps by

I disagree. C++ often removes language features, standard library features (std::random_shuffle), etc. Also object files compiled with different standard versions often are ABI incompatible with each other, which means you can't just p

That conflicts. Suppose you want to allocate 24 bytes and process them using SIMD instructions. You call `aligned_alloc(24, 16)` to get a 24 byte allocation allocated to a 16 byte boundary. Since the OS doesn't give the allocator 24 by
