Phone tech support: every word recorded, probably video in a lot of cases. Retail: video of the whole store is common, unsure about audio. Office work: every worker signs a document saying everything they do on the network can/will be

He/she's just saying that in 20 years, anything using IPv4 will be creaky and obsolete, similar to how we view WinXP now -- creaky and obsolete. Not that WinXP is stuck on IPv4.

Couldn't that be innocent, though? Can't an advertiser run different ads based on time of day? You were up at night, so you saw the nighttime ads (for your geolocation).

Is that still the case? As of 2012, the Chevy Cruze is a 1.4L turbo, and it's not even Chevy's smallest car. It's a pretty standard low-mid-end sedan. I have no data, just my anemic Cruze :-) (seriously, the turbo lag is terr

Of course, most people don't buy. At least for me, I probably only buy something at ever 4th or 5th yard sale I go to. It's easy to walk in, scan the tables, realize there's nothing of interest to me, and leave.

Is muscle wasting a significant issue? Mars does have gravity, the people will no doubt be doing some physical work, so it won't be as bad as in orbit. On top of that, if they have no plans for ever coming back to Earth, then is there

Hmmm, there is the HDMI-CEC stuff (where you supposedly can control your CC from the TV remote -- my TV doesn't have it, so I can't try it). Given that, I wonder if you could make a pass-through dongle, HDMI male-to-female, and pu

Wouldn't that necessarily lead to an increase in ad quality? If I proxy ads through my server, that increases my costs, which increases what I would have to make from the ads, which means the advertisers will have to see a higher retur
