They're a US entity operating under US law. If you are in the US, US law is what applies, not EU law. They also don't have European operations, so it's not like the EU has any means to compel them to act even if it wanted to.

The difference is that other unsecure loans are only given out with some degree of expectation/evidence that the person will be able to repay them. A person with $10k/yr income does not get a $40k credit limit. On the other hand,

Can't really agree with that. There's still quite a few sanely priced neighborhoods with good transit access, and without huge crime issues. (Ex: Malden)

The socially agreed upon limit, is the speed of traffic. That is after all, the speed society is driving. The legal limit often has no relation to it and no basis in science or common sense. Not to mention a failure to account for progress

The main issue with a 2012 is that the hard drive cables fail constantly. But the part is cheap and even the technically clueless could replace it themselves with YouTube or ifixit.

Even if you have planned it in advance, car rentals get expensive quickly, especially if you want something more than a passenger car. SUV/Pickup rentals are often >$500/week, AND the agreement will claim that I'm not supp

Haiti is not exactly a functioning democracy. It was a dictatorship until 1986 and the first elected leader to actually serve a full term without getting overthrown in a coup was Rene Preval (2006-11). Their most recent elections were a mes

I actually think older americans in those expensive markets are relatively better off, assuming they own rather than rent. At least at present, their homes are worth a considerable amount. Selling them off and moving to a comparable or smal

In the US, "units of alcohol" are not a thing or part of the government recommendations. One standard drink in the US is tied to 12oz of 5% beer (or it's equivalents in wine/spirits), not the UK definition of a "u
