How relevant is the UK mow that it has exited the EU? If I am Facebook I pull out of the UK or at least threaten to do so. The general public will scream at their MPs to fix the problem.

Really weird name for an editor… I love IntelliJ and have paid for it for years now so I will probably check this out. VSCode has always felt too different.

Killed by design. Companies that build products or services hate power users because they limit the ability to sell customizations or pro service engagements. Software is now designed to be hard to manipulate outside of the expected workflo

Every mainstream upstream Linux vendor is continuously pushing updated AMIs. It shouldn’t really matter whether you solve this with Ubuntu or Amazon Linux or RHEL/CentOS. Sounds like you need a better process / automation for roll

Where are you living that cash-only businesses are mostly illegal enterprises? In the northeast there are tons of cash-only bars and restaurants (im sitting in one), food places (especially hot dog stands lol), and housing/plumbing

Technically? Sure, its a great solution. Politically? Totally dead in the water. Its not a good solution unless you are an authoritarian government. (I am pro-Nuclear)

RandoCorp Employee matches are generally not nearly as generous as Big Tech employee matches. In BigTech I have seen 50-100% match but RandoCorp I have usually seen it limited in some way. Also very rare to have a 401k in your early 20s.

I stopped feeling shame for my code after a couple years in business. Every line out there is someone’s little piece of shit. We are just little shit machines producing ever more shit. Sometimes we even use shit to patch up the gaps in exis

Maybe we should let each state run the way they see fit... you know kind of like how the Constitution assumed things should be done until the Commerce Clause was used by the Federal Government to hammer every state into submission.

I had a Pixel 1 and loved it but switched to an iPhone circa EOL Pixel 4 because I couldn’t wait for 5/5a. Is the 5a worth picking up? Im not a fan of iOS and Android has a killer feature in Work Profiles. Id like to switch back.

Helms a pile of garbage but this isn’t really the fault of Helm. This is an issue with the chart or a failure to read the documentation of the chart. People have got to stop just blindly running stuff off the internet.

I used WSLg for several months and just recently switched back to x410. WSLg is badly broken with non-trivial apps like IntelliJ IDEA.

It's probably been about 20 years since I did American Revolutionary history in school and yea his name pops up, but he's treated as a minor character and a footnote. Gotta be honest, I only just learned his first name was Gilbert

Windows already brought the year of the Linux desktop with WSL2 lol. I've been using Win11 Dev Channel Insider builds for a few months now and it works well. The UI is better than Win 10 and arguable better than Win7.

Question! Do you do this just to difficult? I mean a passport is obviously a very valid piece of ID but you seem like you are doing this just to be a pain in the ass which says a lot about you as a person.
