Depending on how clogged the drain is, ive seen those be useless before. The general case for those to be useful is that main drain is only blocked because the user closed it purposely. If the drain is clogged it becomes pointless-ish

Sometimes? I had good friends in college, but I barely talk to them anymore over a decade and some change later. They are in different industries, with partners and kids, and just doing their own thing. They've all sort of faded into b

Why do you need Go on the system? Build a binary and install it… no need for Go on the target machine.

Yea I googled for that case and the missing context is important to the outcome... That said, it is pretty messed up, but on the other hand culturally we seem to be OK with those weird little girl fashion/beauty pageants which are also

> The part I don't get: why is Elon still tweeting ideas for improving Twitter and shaking things up? He's still the largest shareholder and he has a lot of soft power to sway opinions in the public sphere.

My bet is on the plan to purchase more of Twitter until it is all his. Honestly, he's probably a better suitor or steward for Twitter than any of the other dreck they've run out there since 2014.

My solution is a pragmatic one, yours is a dead-end most likely, the point was to paper over the issue and move on unless OP wants to spend a lot of time and money on lawyers fighting it.

You are going to spend a lot of time and money to address this. Better solution is to buy a second Chromebook only for school or personal use snd explain to your kid that their government hates them.

The default setup trap thing resonates. Also a lot of DevOps folks I have met are former sysadmins with unflexing mindsets about the way things should be done. It all just culminates as cargo cult “best practices” that bloat your infra.
