Learn how to write in a clear and concise way that is coherent and can be understood by other people. Learn how to write to different audiences. You communicate differently with programmers than you would executives.

Windows isn't popular on HN, but it's a major platform with a lot of devs. You gotta get out of the HN bubble.

It's cute you think there is some intelligence to this design... it's just whatever some PM/exec dreamed up and some low-level engineer implemented based on requirements. The data is likely just sitting there collecting digit

Well the road is the Mass Pike (I-90) so a little harder than just driving across the street to get to, but pretty wild. Also the variances for fairly short distances are very interesting. I wonder how this is all computed.

It's kind of a weird move for companies to make because it's an oddly pro-labor signal to tell employees ahead of time to prepare for layoffs. I agree, I prefer it.. but also, it's weird in 2024 where corps basically try to f

Why run Windows at that point? I'm a hybrid person. I run Linux for my work and dev OS and Windows for gaming and day to day shenanigans. If you're just going to strip Windows down to this weird broken minimal thing tho why not ju

The Gentoo to Arch pipeline is pretty real. I did Stage 1's as well around the same time but eventually got tired of doing that every so often or fighting Portage and switched to Arch. Then I got tired of dealing with Arch... and ended
