If you have some kind of security review process for dependency updates, then this is annoying.

Well, you can install a different calculator. On iOS, you can install a different "browser," but under the hood they all have to be safari.

The author mentions this as well. I don’t know how I’ve never connected those dots.

I agree that this is a huge problem to be solved, but I don’t think it excuses piracy in any way. On another note, one emerging new framework is patreon. Instead of paying for printing/distribution, you’re paying the author directly to

Plenty of people have produced great works of art while working day jobs. It’s hardly a new concept.

I don’t ride motorcycles for that reason, but this feature applies to cars to. I can’t opt out of those too easily.

Honestly, what is the best case scenario for this feature? Sure, text the police, that’s a great idea, but why give your family extreme anxiety with very little information? What are they supposed to do, rush to the scene of the accident? T

Unfortunately this seems inevitable. Hardware manufacturers have to support windows or they won’t survive, so that support is going to be there day 1. Some of them have spotty support for Linux, most have none. So it falls on the community

That’s not really accurate. The pilot episodes have nearly identical scripts, but none of the other episodes do. They borrow some episode concepts and character arcs, but the scripts are original. That said, there is definitely a tonal shif

Could also be that the marketing cost is included on that one. It was made by one guy in less than one month, so it's certainly not the actual development.

React itself really hasn't gotten significantly bigger. It's more of a rendering library than a framework. Custom elements are really neat, and may very well do what you need. The big pain point that React solves (for me at least)

I disagree that React is doing anything controversial actually. Angular has logic in it's views, what do you think the handlebars syntax is? The only difference is that they added new syntax to JS instead of adding new syntax to HTML.
