This still isn't that unique to the medical industry. What about software contracts? Sometimes things go over time/budget, but this scenario should be worked out beforehand. You don't tell a client "Sorry we had to bring

I know it's already being expressed in this thread, but could people please just take 5 seconds to think before they build things? Do we really have to ruin one of the good parts of the Internet for some Twitter clout?

My last two jobs have had this lack of cynicism, but I would describe only one of them as toxic. We were going straight to the top and anyone who left was a traitor. The other simply considered the products to be incredibly important and li

They've already existed, and had fun, engaging content. Meta in that sense is putting the cart before the horse. You can't convince us all to get into this world and then figure out what we're supposed to be doing there later

My first instinct was to say this seems like an overreaction to a joke, but this is a meme that originated from 4chan and the worst parts of reddit, so you might not be far off, given the track records for violence there.

Trying to write off schools as a bad idea entirely seems pretty dumb to me. I’ve got young kids in school, and I understand the criticisms, but I’m also constantly amazed at how quickly they are learning. Having free quality public educatio

Seems like Rust is hitting peak popularity right now so there are tons of people out there feeling slightly insecure about their new language and needing to defend it every time someone picks a competitor.

Hot showers are a truly amazing luxury. Historically not even the wealthiest people on the planet have had access to them. It’s a nice thing to think about when it’s 0 degrees outside and you’re taking a shower for probably a few pennies of

In my experience this cuts both ways. Becoming emotionally invested in a product you don't have a huge amount of control over is dangerous, but on the other hand, believe that your work is unimportant is depressing when you have to do
