Prototype the crappiest thing you can in RoR (if you're still happy to use it). When you hit a problem ask people (most likely still doable as it's just REST api endpoints) and if not, possibly re-evaluate. At worst you'll kn

You know I've fallen in love with Svelte (specifically Sveltekit). I would strongly recommend giving it a shot. I'm an experienced React dev and thought I'd try something new for a side project. I tried and liked SolidJS (and

That's quite a wide brush you're painting with. I think it would be useful if you provide a reason for 'why'. Quite a few people know how to use mutes, lists etc to get the best from it. If all you click on is rage-bait

Obviously it depends on what you're doing. Used RoR back in the day and it's a great way to get stuff out the door. I coded like I was on fire. I've never had that sensation since then doing JS/TS/React blah-blah. I

Work on a project and pretend you're still employed. Use Trello (or equivalent) to project manage yourself i.e. set deadlines, do extra to hit targets, do releases etc. I think it's very easy to punt things.
