Good plan. Have you thought much about the instruction set yet? Any interesting features from existing commercial 8 bit processors you're going to re-implement?

Looks like a good project, a nice change from doing everything in HDL. Isn't the circuit layout going to get quite large however? How are you going to organize it? E.g. does Logisim have hierarchical views or sub-components?

Yes, started in 1984 with BASIC on my 8 bit home PC. Used that to learn programming, explore the machine & make a few primitive games. Then moved on to Z80 assembler (massively faster, and that's where you really get to understand

That sounds like a good setup. Is there anything in particular the management does to keep engineers around? Similar situation at my place (great co-workers, good product space), but poor management, leading to lots of turnover.

Sounds like the software managers were not on top of things, otherwise how would they have allowed this type of design to be implemented? Not to say I haven't seen this effect myself many times...

Ahh, blaming the hardware. A sure sign they haven't looked into their code closely.

Good questions. I do a lot of M2M projects that use 3G modems on so called private networks (e.g. Verizon hands out a 10.x.x.x IP address for the devices). The argument is always made that this would require a lot of $ and equipment to cr

Does anyone know if these Stingray devices could also be used to intercept M2M IP traffic from a cell modem?

Thanks for the response. If the Republicans get in can they scrap Obamacare? Don't want to make a big life change assuming it'll be there only to have it disappear shortly.

Sounds good for some situations. I have to take a few perscriptions per day, so I'm assuming they wouldn't be covered? That could be the dealbreaker.

I can't see how this would be efficient enough to charge a phone. Does anyone have a rough idea of what the end to end efficiency of this system would be? Also if it's a beamed technology, does it then need N transmitters to char
