Look at Sequoia Capital India. One of their partners used to head Microsoft India and Google India before. Coincidence?

Except, not everyone is going to do that. And you don't get to choose what computer a client has when you're shipping software that needs to work out of the box and can take advantage of the said computer. The analogy is that ever

@natfriedman - you guys need to start allowing comments in Git commits, it will help enrich Git commits with any other tracking information available. Hopefully it's helpful.

I've been on plaidml w/ keras for a bit, got over most bottlenecks for now. Check out keras-helper.. I made it to switch between various backend implementations which are non NVidia specific. Pytorch may eventually need porting, b

Good effort. But I feel sad that I won't ever get to try it. macOS (and eventually iOS) is dead to me as a platform.

IMO: Any protocol or mechanism written by Google is surely to give it more control over the Internet, hence advertising and hence revenue. Not only AMP, but HTTP 2, QUIC, DNS over HTTPS are all things that Google wanted to have control over

I don't know if people noticed, but: https://archive.org/search.php?query=Encarta+2009 gives you links to try it out. I loved Encarta, was so much more interactive and great for children to learn from, without getting

Yes. My reasoning is this: The social media, centralized internet and content control on platforms are turning people into sheep. What we are doing is enforcing moral censorship and allowing bots to retweet echo chambers, what you end up wi

I'm wary of such articles praising this system. My opinion: Nobody can truly benefit from a system that promotes mass surveillance. It just turns people into sheep.

I think that censorship in India is a losing end, and it does not help anyone, not the government, not the ISPs, not the media lobbies. They should just expose more endpoints, like the way TPB got over the problem, and keep these ISPs at ba

I really wish some python company invested money into making python 3.8+ compatible pypy, and running more tests on libraries for compatibility fixes. We could all use faster code.

This is such a misleading title. 2 and 3 have had this for a while, one can do this with 4. I'm currently using a recent MicroSD card on my Pi 4 though, haven't had any real issues with it.

Food delivery and a Pear logo? Canada is usually very good with their laws and enforcement in general. This case will not bode well for Apple, given how they're trying to generalize fruit logos as identifiable business marks, when tons

I have mixed feelings about this one, having seen their Capital G investment portfolios before. Let's hope they actually make an impact with this one. Now let's begin with an analysis: This is the only company in their portfolio d

I second this. Start focusing on improving battery life on Windows laptops already. I'm sort of happy this is going to push processor manufacturers to get the best power efficient general computing out there, but developer productivity

True story, I found AVX code to run faster than AVX2 despite half the overall vectorized inputs, turns out the chips clock down when running AVX2 instructions. Ditto with AVX-512 as well. Unless they improve chip processes, reduce power con

You always have the Wine project, and one could contribute to such a project if DirectML is the way one wants to run ML on a system - if they choose to ignore the other APIs to use the GPU.

Open source and consoles won't mix unless they remove the licensing (they won't). Which is why the Unreal model keeps platforms modular and has a bot to sync code back to GH. The reality of open source in games is we need more eng
