Yeah, it's an awful use of LLM IMO... It's basically a summarization of Google search first page. The results lack depth.

I don't think this is a good idea. A good model if we are really aiming at anything that resembles AGI (or even a good LLM like GPT4) is a model that have world knowledge. The world is not just English.

Microsoft already had competitive models, especially Megatron-Turing. They were even using on Bing Chat before... I'm pretty sure they still use their model on Bing Chat today (Balanced mode). It was a competitive model for the time, i

I believe one of the problems that OSS models need to solve, is... dataset. All of them lack a good and large dataset. And this is most noticiable if you ask anything that is not in English-American-ish.

Fun fact, Meta (FB) actually had a tech to "emulate" iOS apps. Facebook and Instagram for Windows/WP once upon a time was an iOS emulated app.

Have you tried Sydney at the time? I don't believe that's the case. It's just the style of answers and conversation that is radically different. If you see GPT4 paper, you can see that the change was likely made because of RL

Claude 2 is IMO, safer and in a bad way. They did "Constitutional AI". And made Claude 2 Safer but dumber than Claude 1 sadly. Which is why on the Arena leaderboard, Claude 1 is still score more than Claude 2...

They are exactly hiring everyone from OpenAI. The thing is, they still need the deal with OpenAI because currently OpenAI still have the best LLM model out there in short term.

I'm not sure it would follow. as part of the act is to allow other apps to request interop in these services like iMessage or WhatsApp. But I guess it was worth to try this instead of directly opening iMessage for interop, for business
