Yep, setuid would make sense. Hopefully that's how people end up using it. (i.e. Rocket should document or distribute it that way)

The post mentions not having a daemon running as root, but then you have to run `rkt` as root anyway. Won't this just mean that instead of having a single implementation of a Rocket daemon running as root, there is now one custom one e

Took pretty well to this URI regexp from Ruby. Impressive! http://www.debuggex.com/r/y47J4d_L02NwJrXq/0

I work on the CLI for a PaaS. So lots of interaction, detailed output for your apps and their status, etc. Probably a less interesting answer than you hoped. I started adding colors to highlight important parts of the output (e.g. app names

As a CLI designer (silly as that sounds) it's nice to see a theme that doesn't abuse the 'bright' palette. Hated Solarized for that alone.

Is there something like this for Chrome? Really annoying having code downloaded instead of displayed.

I hit this a while ago. The first thing I tried to install failed, because it depended on something that depended on something that moved its repository location (renamed itself from foo.go to foo). It's a convenient hack but nothing more.

Isn't it the whole point of Circles that they don't have to clarify that? You're in complete control of who you send things to from the very beginning, and the only way you can add people is by putting them in the appropriate circle(s).

Have you considered using Ruby's throw/catch instead of exceptions? I did that for Atomy's condition system[1]. They worked great because you can just use the restart names for the throw/catch tags. [1]: https://github.com/vito/atomy/blob/

Looks promising, but very basic so far. No shuffle/repeat, enqueueing, or really anything beyond play, pause, previous, and next. It did import my iTunes library in <2 seconds though, which seems impressive compared to iTunes', what, 15

Works for me in the latest Chrome, except the shortcut is Ctrl+Cmd+D (I think it always has been?). For a long time it didn't work, though.

Try http://vicoapp.com/ - TextMate bundles, a real, Lispy scripting language (Nu), and vim style modal editing. Still has a ways to go in terms of vim command parity, but I've been using it as my main editor for the past month and really

I wish they would go the xmonad route, and simply treat each display as an independent "workspace container". Being able to switch independently (and still use the other display when using a fullscreen app) is a huge productivity gain.

Via pattern-matching at the moment: X foo: Y := ... X foo: Z := ... Both of these are inserted on X, which is used as `self` in the method body (so instance variables, etc. work as expected too). It's one method, `foo:`, which

I've been working on a port of Atomo ( http://atomo-lang.org/ ) to the Rubinius VM, dubbed Quanto for now. It's similar to Fancy (though they were both designed/developed separately), but one of the main differences is that it has macros (

Atomo isn't a Haskell dialect - it's another language. The first implementation is written in Haskell, but other than that there's no relation.

The link is to the release notes, which has the documentation embedded - click Getting Started at the right if you've never heard of Atomo (which is very likely).

I'm putting together the release notes for the most substantial update for any project I've ever done. Probably shouldn't release yet if everyone's watching the Superbowl. Tomorrow it is? http://atomo-lang.org/notes/0.4
