While I am skeptical of the Mars One project, for many reason which others have covered very well, I would happily die on Mars. I'm in my early 20's and I have big plans and dreams here on Earth. I would drop them instantly for the chance t

I was just the TA for a CS class. I don't know any students, even the ones who struggle the most in the Introductory CS sequence, who can't do that. I'd say even those that failed the course can probably do that...

I have a few on my old desktop in my parents garage from the CPU mining days. If bitcoins REALLY take off, I'm gonna have to recover them.

One of my favorite sites. If you aren't familiar with it already, it will probably lead you to lesswrong.com. Also worth a good amount of time input.

m-m-manual?! :P no, I admit it, I'm a young. Printers jam a lot, they have ink problems, drivers are always a pain. They are probably a lot better than a typewriter though.

My first response was indignation. A lot of those questions are seemingly irrelevant. However, I think we need to put them in perspective of the business and time. Once you do that, A lot of them become something I would expect people to kn

I consider myself an atheist. However, my parents insist that I will never stop being Jewish because it is primarily a culture/creed.

yea, I had another presentation today and that's what I did. Nowhere near as convenient though. I'd like a software switch in the menus for the current version and the next version to have a physical switch.

I'm at 4 days with my Pebble. It's great. It's subtle, it looks nice and I like having a watch. My only two caveats, I had to give a presentation the other day and it went off during my presentation. Sure, I was the only one who noticed, bu

not at all. Libertarianism can be directly traced back to the theory of Austrian economics and the political theory of Locke. There are many similarities, but Rand approaches her ideas from a very different angle.

Radiation dangers on Mars missions are often exaggerated. In Mars orbit, we have data that indicates approx. 22 milirads a day. It should be a fair bit less on the surface. That gives the colonists about 3 years of unshielded radiation expo

I'm a CS major in college. Students who knew what they were doing actively avoided AP CS in our high school. (I've heard many other similar stories as well) The majority of High School "tech" teachers are utterly unqualified to teach CS.
