I'm not sure from an SEO standpoint, but from an end-user standpoint I wouldn't click on a site with the domain "monkeyshats.com". It looks too much like "monkey sh*ts".

Same here. (Chrome 5.0.3 on OS X). It's dependent on the site of the window though. I keep my relatively small, so that automatically came to mind.

I think that it's an interesting idea. But why wouldn't someone just put out a call for co-founders on Hacker News like you just did?

This might be useful to add under the "Jobs" link on this site. I know that it is meant for people looking for work, but I feel that it could work just as well in the opposite direction.

You drive cars with a manual transmission. You AIM cars with an automatic transmission. Think about it this way, there are some people out there who have no good reason to really drive a car. They'd rather just aim. Perhaps it's the same

I read an article yesterday (believe it was in the Times) about the Ipad. The article itself was pretty underwhelming, but there was a part that stuck out at me. The writer mentioned that he had a meeting with Steve Jobs. He comes in to

I've avoided learning anything about HTML5 for the past year, but as it is getting adopted fairly quickly, I'd like to learn. Anyone know of any good HTML5 books or online resources?

While good for a "lol", doesn't anyone else hate April Fools day on the internet? It's nearly impossible to find a serious post. I can't take anything seriously on the internet for the next day or two. Guess my productivity is going to go

I very nearly learned C# just so I get could a job in my geographical area. Turns out, if I was a bit flexible there were a lot of jobs out there doing the PHP development that I really enjoy. Don't make too many compromises though. Learn

Remember when your mother told you "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."? It still holds, except it's even simpler: Keep it professional. Just because you feel wronged, doesn't mean you need to bring someone down.

You could probably do without city as well if using zip codes. Obviously this doesn't hold water for international setups, but it could be nice for the US.

The "somewhere" metric is different for everyone. Aspiring towards different things doesn't mean you went nowhere. For instance, I just released my first bit of open source code. I feel like I've finally reached a goal. Hence, I went so

I always thought that the "high end" cable market was a rip-off. Even as someone who loves high quality audio, its REALLY hard to tell the difference between a moderately priced cable and a high end one.

Currently, I think others rate us on the things we own (cars, houses, businesses, etc). Ideally, people should judge us by the content of our character rather than the material things we own or have earned. I don't know how the American D

I'm going to advertise for Michigan here. If you'd like to explore some wilderness, I recommend checking out Isle Royale. It's in the middle of Lake Superior, and doesn't really have any settlements on it. Good luck on your journeys!

Let me elaborate. I have a nice laptop because I need one to do my job effectively. Want isn't actually the correct word. I have some desire for materialistic things (as most do), but I don't see them as things that define my life. I bel
