You make your own subscription. If you want to pay $20/month then put $20 into your account. When you use it up, wait till the next month (or buy more).

Or they don’t have enough compute to handle the recent influx of traffic. I’m guessing it’s a bit of both.

Reddit has been leaking into HN for years. It’s just finally reached equilibrium.

Openclaw users are a small percentage of their user base but take up a lot of their compute. Given the cost is subsidized it’s not surprising they would target it. Getting these users to leave is probably the point. These aren’t profitable

This. Just asking it to ask you questions before proceeding has saved me so much time from it making assumptions I don’t want. It’s the single most important part of almost all my prompts.

We only watch OTA TV and have no streaming services so I guess the answer is yes.

One of the more ignorant comments I've read on HN which is saying something.

As the lead dev on our team told us "You will all have a different journey on this road". Not everyone is going to get along with allowing an LLM to write code for them, something they've probably spent their entire lives cr

Deepseek is 2% of the cost of Opus. But most people aren't using that for code even tho it's ridiculously cheap.

If you want to know where it's headed, look at factory workers 40 years ago. Lots of people still work at factories today, they just aren't in the same places they were 40 years ago and now req an entirely different skill set. Th

You also have easy upgradeability and expansion, easier cooling and the value of the land and hardware as an asset. None of which are available in space.

The general population has never used any of these products and haven't heard of most of them except maybe ChatGPT in passing. All these AI ads had the same problem as the crypto ones of years past, nobody is going to understand WTF an

Make as much money as you can while you still can before the bottom falls out. Or go work for one of the AI companies on AI. Always better to sell picks and shovels than dig for gold. Eventually the gold runs out where you are.

Smart devs know this is the beginning of the end of high paying dev work. Once the LLM's get really good, most dev work will go to the lowest bidder. Just like factory work did 30 years ago.

It’s not all that crazy if you’ve paid attention to what NI has put out recently or rather what they haven’t. Their hardware has been incredibly dated forever and much of their software has been too. They have not looked like a healthy comp

Sort by oldest. If the videos go back more than 3 years watch an old one. So many times the person narrating the old vids is nothing like the new vids and a dead ringer for AI. If the account is less than a year old, 100% AI.
