Someone should change the title of this post. I didn't read it for a good 3 hours because I didn't realize it was related to Rails.

Nah. I would bet they are just using it because of the filters. It makes all the photos look so artsy and romantic. I doubt it has anything to do with networking.

Looks like your site is already number 3 on my google search for "how a car works". The homepage is a bit boring. You have a lot of pretty pictures, you should some how use them on your homepage. Perhaps include a relevant picture with ever

I don't get it. What does the dot-email have to do with them social engineering their way to your order numbers? Is the fact that they used a dot-email the weak link here, and what thankfully allowed you to catch on to the problem early? If

I really enjoyed the comical way you displayed the data. Very well done.

G@#$D!T I wished I had known about this last week. I already implemented my own file browser! Thanks for the tip though.

Last week I was trying to figure out how to do this with dropbox. Anyone know a way?

I really like the way they are presenting their API. A simple example is better than an entire of page of documentation. Kind of how w3schools does it.

Buying a random stranger's debt with your own money, with no expectations of re-payment or even a personal thank you is entitlement?

A lot of people are talking in terms of "leaving" their jobs to start businesses. For me, it's the opposite. I am considering leaving my business to get a job. Why? Healthcare and retirement. So I agree with the article. If we had universal

As a plugin prius owner. I find it a bit annoying that they don't just work with existing charging networks like ChargePoint to help expand the accessibility of electric car charging.

I find it really interesting that this is all done in a simple LAMP stack. And they made a bunch of mistakes in their code.

Nah... It's probably because of a project manager...

Ok. I guess I was the only one who enjoyed the site and soundtrack. I thought it was rather creative. My only complaint is the scrolling is a bit broken.

Every time I click "show more designers", it brings me back to the top. I think you forgot a "return false;"

Every time this topic comes up. I am just completely awed by the idea that this is how most of our communication work. It seems so fragile and vulnerable to sabotage.

Am I the only person who thought this might just be a joke, or a way to make the whole bug fixing process more light hearted... I don't think I would be offended if my name got put on such a field, because I am sure everyone would end up on

It's always weird to see someone execute on an idea I've had myself. My idea was through chat and email though. Talking on the phone is way too personal. But good luck.

Do you guys ever do write-ups about the bugs? I would be interested in reading that.

is there anything we can do right now, to fix this problem while the attack is under way?

Why is everyone so scornful? I am not suggesting we forgive and forget, but shouldn't we be a little more understanding? What's with the "no flip-flop" culture we have nowadays?

This is something I never understood. I am not a sys-admin by any means, but I have never used a registrar, or host that does not have free DNS. However, I have seen people pay for DNS hosting, separate from their registrar... which is odd

I build an image hosting site, similar to imgur, on GAE. Some people in brazil are using it. Last month, the bill went from $4 a month, to $4 a week. As far as I can tell, the site did not get any more popular than it was a month ago. That

I am not familiar with the aftermath of the digg fiasco, does anyone know if they ever tried back peddling? If it was me, I would return the site back to what it was, and apologize profusely...

I love these type of posts. Thanks for sharing. How do you stumble upon these exploits? Do you purposely go searching for them, or do you just accident upon them?
