I don't really understand the technical limitations too much, but the hardest selling point for me is that an ES Bonsai instance cost more than a Heroku dyno. I couldn't get over the fact that I have to pay more for one feature in

Maybe off topic, but why are these hosted search engines so expensive? $45/mo to start. Are there any $5/mo, low volume, machines for hobby developers?

I agree with you that for the people hired to carry out these policies, they are just regular folks who take great pride in doing/having a job. However, after watching those PBS Frotline documentaries "Top Secret America" and

I'll never understand why our politicians continue to cut funding to the one organization that could help the government save AND make more money. Not to mention save all of us from the headache of things like this.

I like it. I found the site pretty informative from a layman standpoint. I find the whole marketing of vulnerabilities pretty fun. It's like the ASCII art and MIDI in those keygen software.

A while back I was interested in building a DIY GPS after watching Lost. I day-dreamed about being stranded somewhere remote and building myself a GPS out of spare parts like MacGyver or something. After finding this article, I realized tha

In today's political climate, it doesn't really have to be "classified" for it to damaging. All they need is an email of the president making some sort of offbeat joke about conservatives or something, and that would be

I always wonder how these hackers know which IP range to attack. Is it just like a hit and miss kinda thing? Or do they have insiders who leak those info to them.

Every time I hear these stories I always think to myself, if those guys became engineers, they'd eventually make around $100K. At a modest 20% tax rate, thats 20K a year in revenue for our country.
