Is there a reason they're mixing non-blocking and blocking assignment operators in sequential always blocks here?

Graphics functionality != display output What about laptop GPUs, which don't necessarily output to the screen at all times. Sometimes they don't even have a capability to do so. If it's coprocessor working alongside the gene

Agreed on both counts. I think I'm a great engineer (not so sure about "best") but my family/community are the most important things in my life and I would not sacrifice that to work on something sexy and new. Additiona

I think the point is that it's kind not entirely accurate to say that Apple doesn't allow messaging interoperability with Android. They in-fact do through dozens of available third party apps. They don't allow non-apple devic

I kind of disagree with this take. I mean sure, you do lose almost all your free time and you definitely have to reevaluate your priorities, but I don't think you need to give up on your life goals / things outside of work. IE. I

If you don't mind my asking where are you based? I am interested in building a consulting business but all my contacts are in industries that are regulated and don't really hire individual consultants. So Upwork and places like it

Curious about this. How did you manage to build up a consulting business without prior contacts? You say you wrote applications, but normally companies aren't soliciting consultants in a public fashion (other than fiver/upwork whi

I think this is kind of a fantasy. My impression of dentistry and the medical field in general are that there are constantly new procedures coming out to learn, new techniques to implement, and new tools to train on. Maybe ageism is less o

Not the commenter but it's just a interesting premise. It's an old King who's experienced every earthly pleasure in existence (food, wine, servants, women, etc.) who is looking back on his life and writing a letter to his son

This isn't new. Any large aircraft is going to have hydraulically driven control surfaces. Where do you think the hydraulic power comes from? Large aircraft have APUs and/or battery backups so that they can still be controlled if

Did you actually read the article you linked? 10k per wafer is the cost in-production, at scale. The tapeout process for a 7nm chip is 10s of millions of dollars before you even get to paying per wafer.

Not per capita, per user of the mentioned substance. And the answer is no, not even close. Ridiculous argument.

As a general rule, anything that uses electricity to get hot is going to need to run a PID if you want it to maintain a stable temperature. Once you've got the microcontroller in there it's trivial to add nice little features like

I should say a lot of it comes down to the theory of the budgeting system, not the software itself. Monarch is a more traditional cashflow based system, as opposed to the cash system that YNAB uses. You're budgeting your income in a gi

I switched to Monarch from YNAB a few months ago because I'd been using YNAB for years and wanted something a little less involved. I'm really loving it. Thanks for building it!
