Fun. I would love a pause button, so that I can take a break - or look up the person's profile that it just showed me.

My thoughts: Do you have even one person who is using the site? - If yes, get a quote from them. Show us their pictures. Social proof makes it easier for us to trust the site. - If no, talk to friends, refine the idea. Get 10 (ideally 100)

I agree with your points. I categorize them under growing pains. Good UX is not easy - especially when you have such a large number of users and products. If you look into the reasoning for many of the cluttered items, you will see things l

Microsoft's diversification is not really a good thing. IMO, it is no use building lots of technology without being good at any of it. My belief is that Microsoft will improve, but I would not go there because they already have their techno

I am not a Google Employee - but I do want to defend Google here. Yes, Google used to be a technology company that empowered its employees to innovate. However, in the process they built a huge amount of UX Debt. Bad UX was forgivable a few

One of these days I will see an a detailed comparison of some of these Java cloud options (from GAE, to Heroku, Amazon Beanstalk, Cloudbees, and now Jelastic). Given that I want to launch a side project on the cloud, this is very relevant t

Quick Answer: Yes, you can start the company. BUT, you can't work for the company that company. Mostly, work = getting a salary. If you are trying to start a company, feel free to incorporate it and own all of it. I would suggest worrying

I actually think Martijn does understand that many patches will still get rejected - but he would like to still see some community contributions getting in (as opposed to the current message of 'stop contributing'). I personally think that

More frameworks like Bootstrap is not a bad idea. But, if you don't want a hundred websites that look like Twitter, then perhaps the right answer is having a themes that are based on Bootstrap - like what http://wrapbootstrap.com/ and ht
