Do you say so for Emacs and Slime's debugger too? It's certainly weird at first, but powerful and integrated. Although it isn't graphical like LispWorks' (and probably Allegro's), so I agree it could be even better.

+1. No, VS Code is an unusable resource hog for me, I don't think you would gain sthg in trying the plugin again, the last releases were not full of changes. Lem is remarkably featureful and usable for CL development though! Both its n

Ceramic is a wrapper around simple commands and while I wished it worked, it's broken and unmaintained. One can get to a working state with a couple npm commands (npm init electron-app@latest my-app ; … ; npm run make)

I am exploring this atm. Basically once you build your CL web app as one binary, containing the HTML and other static assets, it is straightforward to open it in an Electron window. So is it with Tauri, Neutralino or another webview. How to

I use a couple web apps in production©. The development experience is awesome, deployment is easy, the runtime is fast, the language and the ecosystem are stable. CL being CL, you get many errors, including type errors, at compile time (hit

Use an editor that auto-inserts parens and that indents the code correctly. Now nothing bad can happen. And the parens are used to edit code structurally. re typing: Coalton brings Haskell-like typing on top of CL. https://github

Nice! I'll note, specially for pythonistas, that even with your simple (edit) and (load) shortcuts, you are doing something more than in Python: while in Python you quit and re-run your program from the terminal, in CL you quit the de

CL is the most interactive (by far). Its image-based development and its tooling (Emacs&Slime or other IDEs) offer more features. Elixir's tooling is more classic, focused on good tools on the terminal. CL has a pretty good type in
