This looks great! How do blogs get into the "blogs" tab? I see the "suggest a blog" link... are they all hand-curated from there?

Power screwdrivers in the hands of incompetent users who don't know how to set the clutch are bad. But hey, let's blame the tools.

This is one of those opinion pieces that serves as a stronger argument for the opposite position. If this is the best the author can come with, it's a very weak position indeed.

I went through a period where I'd wake up aboud 2-3 hours after going to bed and couldn't get back to sleep for most of the night. I used a related technique to help. I count backwards from 1000, and force myself to keep my eyes c

The example the OP cited doesn't involve complex numbers. Atan(1) is pi/4.

Okay, I was just wondering if there's something non-obvious here. I guess OP is just woefully misguided about languages other than scheme or "these languages can't handle it" means something more like "I don't

What's the "aime problem" and why can't c/c++/java/js/python/rust/go handle it?

It's not as interesting as keeping a bunch of carnivorous plants, but I wonder if the author considered just keeping the compost in the freezer. No smells, no bugs.

I'm in NYC. The sky was a deep orange in the afternoon and you could easily look directly at the midday sun without discomfort. There is a visible haze indoors looking down a long hallway. It's cleared up a bit now but still quite

I don't think the cost of living has anything to do with it. There was a huge boom in delivery services during the pandemic, and rapid transition from bicycles to far more valuable electric scooters. There's just far more opportu

The universe is big, but we're only observing a miniscule fraction of it, especially at the level of individual star systems.

Thanks for reporting this bug, I managed to track it down and it should be fixed now. You might have to hit refresh to make sure you have the latest version.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do that yet. I still need to figure out the controls on touchscreens.

It's unrelated. Even though the prompt says to press C, pressing space actually has the same effect if you're standing up.

That's a bug, but fairly benign. It's happens while trying to render the chart with no prior data, so the range ends up being Mean. It doesn't affect anything though.

A Patriot can only intercept theater ballistic missiles, which are an order of magnitude slower than an ICBM.

> But if the issue is merely scale, all you need to do is make more interceptors, Attackers can choose where to attack. Defenders have to defend every city. For example, THAAD can protect about a 200km radius, so for every ICBM and SLBM,

Yeah, that's definitely in the plan. You actually can impart spin right now with an undocumented feature. Use WASD to move the bridge hand and/or IJKL to move the grip hand. You can even play jump shots by elevating the bridge han

The root cause is that a huge portion of the US population sees prisons entirely from a punitive point of view. Want to reduce prison sentences? Improve conditions? You're soft on crime!
