Build it Bigger on the science / discovery channel had an episode about how they build the subways in NY. It was a cool episode. http://science.discovery.com/videos/build-it-bigger-season5-...

I don't see much evidence of what the title says in the article. It just is based on anecdotal evidence. This is on par with a blog post by some random person. I'm surprised SFGate would publish this.

Netflix was really close to disrupting Cable TV. Unfortunately, the cable providers and satellite providers can pay more to the content producers. I imagine that Showtime left Netflix because they realized the cable fees brought in more cas

They are turning things around ever so slightly at groupon. They have gone from negative operating income to positive. Still no income after taxes. I doubt that Groupon that will really turn a profit.

This sounds like Star Trek where money is abolished and everyone just simply lives. I've always wondered why anyone would want to join Starfleet? It seems like they went out into space and weren't really compensated in any manner. I'd say t

Who was this person who rented the car? He was driving in the wrong lane. What kind of screening did RelayRides do?

I heard no mention of how the keyboard input will work. I love using Emacs. The keyboard short cuts sometimes seem so odd but come in handy.

They have been lazy in essence. They decided not to backport the fix because it is too hard or it didn't fit in the schedule to ship CS6 out of the door.

A lot of people I know simply throw away things. It hurts sometimes. However, sometimes it is tough given that technology simply becomes old so fast. I do think that there are certain electronics that can last along time. In particular, it

I agree. It depends on what subset of C and C++ is used. If macros are used the only way to actually verify the code will be to pre-process it. Worse is if templates are used. Some templates don't even finish compiling. http://cpptruths.bl

A lot of ideas are just rehashing of old things applied to new circumstances. This is kinda surprising though!

I felt that webOS was immature. There was places that weren't smooth. Also, some of the web rendering was just messed up. I have seen characters broken in two.

I really want to pre-order one. Reading the comments it seems like a gamble. It is possible, I really hope not, they won't end up making the watch. Any guesses how much it will cost 'retail'? In essence, I want the discount rate I'm getting

I suspect that watch could last maybe a few days without charging. I am quite tempted to get one however if it needs to be charged every few days it might be annoying when traveling. I already have to carry enough cables when I travel.
