The number of people who want to replace S3 is far larger than the number of people who want to replace S3 with a crypto based solution. Both are probably pretty small numbers.

I was referring to the statement that the bottles don't contain a warning, not about the chemical reaction that obviously exists. It probably doesn't specify vinegar, but a general "do not mix with other cleaners". If it

It's not a big deal, we know that now. In the 80's when I was a teenager, the fear-tactics and abstinence only education were strong - I'd even say at their peak. Those patterns get embedded in your brain.

Obesity and its social acceptance and attractiveness is very cyclical and not really related to sex.

Because now you get a lifetime label as a registered sex offender if you get caught. Additionally, those of us who grew up in the 80's had the absolute fear of AIDS drilled into us. IMO, the AIDS epidemic blunted the libido of at least

Electric toothbrushes are fantastic. I own and use one twice a day at home. I was strictly speaking in the context of the blog post with regards to being as small and as light as possible.

I was trying to figure out what you mean by trimming. On one end of the spectrum is smooth shaved. On the other end is completely un-managed. Somewhere in the middle is where "trimming" would come into play.

by vidanay 4y ago
Trim what? Do you mean maintaining a 2mm fashion length beard? (You can't trim with the pictured shaver either - it's only for smooth shaving)

by vidanay 4y ago
Why an electric toothbrush and electric shaver? Both of those have well established and functional antecedents that are both smaller and lighter.

For a corporation that is flush with cash, Detroit is potentially a good buy with long term potential. A 50 year timeline is not unrealistic.

I've been writing code for 40 years (first computer TI-99/4A). Honestly, it's all a blur and anything older than 4-5 years is irrelevant history.

A couple of weeks ago, my company shipped a piece of equipment from Germany to UK for a trade show. The equipment wasn't sold, and it wasn't an asset transfer. Now that the show is done, literally nobody in the UK division knows h

I really like the idea of a "code heatmap". I actually think this could be easily implemented in one scenario: Visual Studio Code Lens already has that information. Massaging it into a background color probably wouldn't be to

I think you replied to the wrong comment? I am quite familiar with the power of the Android notification system. iOS notifications pale in comparison.

I have a company issued iPhone, and the atrocious notification system is enough to assure I will not buy an iPhone personally. If notifications in iOS were ever completely overhauled to the Android model, I would probably jump ship.

It's absolutely astounding how far phone call audio quality has fallen in the last 30 years. I'd kill to have routine narrow-band analog POTS phone calls again.
