I'll just leave a shameless plug for my neovim GUI project here: https://github.com/vhakulinen/gnvim . It has a WIP PR[1] for implementing multigrid support, which would allow features such as scrollbars. There are

I found my passion again by working on a (side) project that I care about and want to use. At work, I try to steer towards projects that I find interesting.

I've heard some to map esc to capslock too, or even ctrl _and_ esc (tap for one, hold for the other). I don't think I would have learned the new mapping if it weren't for the pain.

I have my wrists straight when I type, but I used to have a problem with left hand's control key; every time I needed to press ctrl+<somekey> my writs bend and it started to cause pain. Then, one day I decided to map my capslock

I have virtually no experience with Qt (as a developer). That said, I find the gtk-rs bindings good and easy to use in rust. They are automatically generated from C code, and as the generator matures the bindings come more and more complete

I have ddg as my default search engine in firefox, so by default my searches go to ddg. If I want to use google instead, I just add "!g" to some part of the search query and ddg will do its magic and do the same search on google.

I'm not familiar with RoR, but with rocket, to know which requirements needs to be met in order for a handler to run, you just look at the function definition while in other web framework you usually need to know which middlewares are

I'm really eager to push for use of rocket (and thus rust) at work, but while rocket being on version 0.x it probably is a tough sell. The benefits rocket (at least seems to) bring feels obvious and I notice every now and then at work

You can see the same effects of anonymity in masses. Say, you are in a concert and the crowd starts to throw tomatoes to the artist for being bad (not that I have ever witnessed such act) - would those that threw a tomato do the same thing

If you "can" switch between Windows <-> Mac, why not give linux a spin? Like, if you're not building apps with native UI kits on those platforms, what is holding you on them?
