Maybe they should use classes and objects instead of hashes. I.e. $session->ab_variation_overrides(); This would prevent them from mistyping ab_variation_overrides everywhere they need it... But of course, it's a lot easier to

First they came for the bagels, and I didn't speak out because I was on a low carb diet. Then they came for the micro kitchens, and I didn't speak out because I didn't mind walking a little bit further. Then they came for the free meals,

Try Opera Mini. Not everyone likes it on iOS, though, but when you zoom in it will nicely reformat the text so you don't neet to scroll.

I agree. It actually looks quite nice in Opera Mobile on Android: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/133910/SC20120112-084903.png

Same here in Norway, although I believe carriers have control similar to the US in larger European countries such as UK and Germany, at least.

In Norway and Sweden we also have mostly wooden houses. I would imagine it's the same in Finland as well. Probably because we have lots and lots of trees here, compared to continental Europe.

Seems they just moved here to do a startup, then applied too late for a H1B visa. They don't seem too bothered by it. They get to live in Hong Kong! Sounds awesome to me. http://leostartsup.com/2011/12/why-we-are-taking-our-startup... I d

You hear this when people praise node.js, and it might be true for all I know, but I have yet to see a concrete example comparing node.js code to the same code in another framework/language. Would be very interesting and help non-node.js us

I often fly between two cities here in Norway, and the flight time is just 30 minutes (it takes 5 hours by train, btw). One airline insists on serving coffee to everyone, and the since the coffee is blistering hot, some people usually still

Colebourne's attitude reminds me of an attitude I encountered a lot when I used Perl. Some people would spend a lot of time complaining about how bad Perl is. Meanwhile, lots of people would be happily producing clean and maintainable code

+1 for TCMalloc. We used TCMalloc at Opera Community[0], and they still might be using it there for all I know ... it greatly improved performance on our MySQL servers! [0]: http://my.opera.com/

I'm a Scala newbie, and it did not take me long to actually understand the type signature here. Of course, when I first saw it I was confused, but it's not magical. There are probably map-methods elsewhere, but let's take the map defined on

Norway, and Oslo in particular, is one of the most expensive places in the world, and prices are often discussed in the media. However, I read recently that although we like to complain about food prices, they are not very high when compa

A common misconception is that you need lots of carbs if you work out. I've done up tp 10+ hours of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training per week on a low carb diet, and felt great, so it worked fine for me.

Not sure what to think about this. Seems very well documented and thought out, and the developer tools seem great. However, the price is very steep. It's a bit unusual to see Python frameworks with this kind of pricing. Perhaps I'm too used
