On fedora, import your wg.conf into NetworkManager (`nmcli connection import type wireguard wg0.conf`) and set up DNS using nm connection properties (ipv4.dns-search supports the ~.domain notation, see resolved.conf(5) for details). The con

While there are many footguns in the ipsec, if you have set ip up, you can have better performance with ipsec than with wireguard. Many devices include ipsec hardware acceleration, while wireguard ciphers are purely in software. With your t

Apple won't add it; they traditionally ignore free codecs, and even if they implement them, it is so limited, so it is usable only in the narrow situation, where it is required (see Opus, for example). On the PC side, decoding is suppo

Gnome-remote-desktop in Gnome 42 (to be released soon) uses NVENC for H.264 encoding, if available. Of course, the client must support that too (many do, if the user left everything at 'auto').

I don't feel overwhelmed by popups asking me to grant permissions for push notifications. But I'm glad that both sites where I care for them, can push them.

You would not; you must grant a permission to push notifications to the site first.

Not only that; it seems even your chosen language has an impact. The mails from Amazon.de in German do not contain any information about ordered items. From the same Amazon.de, to the same mail address, but in Czech, they do.

You can "read" the qr code, extract the TOTP seed and put it into app like bitwarden, where it would be both backed up and can generate the login codes too. The problem are sites or services, that do use their own variations inste

Oh yes, somebody implements it, many certainly heard of Active Directory ;) (or maybe even of FreeIPA). However, it is not really safe to expose it publicly, so it is stuck to intranet only. Random services can ask the user for a ticket (do

It is very easy to hijaack port 53 traffic, so you might not talk to DNS server you think you do. Heck, I did that at home for Chromecast and other devices that hardcode their DNS.

It just kind of sucks, when it happens, you are thrown into recovery console at boot and there is no solution. From what I saw, it happened if the disk initialization took longer and ZoL looked for its pools before all disks were found. It

Synology is running on top of mdraid, but does not use dm-integrity. Since it can be enabled per-share, and share creates a btrfs subvolume, that would be kind of difficult. For scrubbing, plain-old btrfs-scrub is being used.

Theoretically, Google Nest Mini (not Chromecast, I know, but close) could be used as a bluetooth speaker. But I never managed to do it. Trying to enable pairing always ends up with an error message.
